Join us for the launch of the new middle grade childrens book 'The Hunt for the Tasmanian Tiger' by Tasmanian author David Webby. David will be joined in conversation by Neil Waters, local Thylacine researcher and founder of 'The Thylacine Awareness Group of Australia'. In his new book David shares his love for the Tasmanian wilderness, encouraging the reader to connect with wildlife, using a unique blend of adventure, mystery and humour that will keep young readers turning the pages, and inspire them, that a different world - is possible.Two young native bush mice, visiting from Queensland with their human caretakers, overhear a secret plan to cut down rainforest in the heart of the Tarkine, where the supposedly extinct Tasmanian Tigers are hiding. They enlist the help of local wildlife to help save the Tasmanian Tiger and the ancient rainforest from death and destruction.
