17th Annual Fundraising Dinner - raising funds for Community Living & Respite Services Opening Doors Project - building homes for people with disability.
Guest Speaker - Curtis McGrath OAM
A former 1st Brigade soldier and gold medal athlete. After being badly wounded by an improvised explosive device (IED) in Afghanistan in 2012, Curtis lost both of his legs. 20 minutes after the blast, Curtis joked with his mates about becoming a Paralympian. He didn't know what sport he was going to do, but his positive outlook and determination to rebound and achieve his driving ambitions have made this man get to where he is today.
