LIGHT UP THE STAGE - a spectacular musical revue at the Shedley Theatre in february 2025!
Auditions are open to anyone aged 5-25 for a range of ensemble and principal roles.
Saturday 30th November:
1.00pm Ensemble Audition - School Years R-6
2.00pm Ensemble Audition - School Years 7-12
3.00pm Ensemble Audition - Young Adults aged 18-25
4.00pm Principal Audition - School Years R-8
5.30pm Principal Audition - School Years 9-12 & Young Adults
1.00pm Ensemble Audition - School Years R-6
2.00pm Ensemble Audition - School Years 7-12
3.00pm Ensemble Audition - Young Adults aged 18-25
4.00pm Principal Audition - School Years R-8
5.30pm Principal Audition - School Years 9-12 & Young Adults

All performers must book a slot for an Ensemble audition which includes a group singing audition and a group dance audition. Trained dancers can choose to then stay on for a more advanced dance audition. Performers then have the option of selecting whether they would also like to attend a Principal audition. We encourage anyone who would like to to have a go at the Principal auditions! For the Principal audition, performers will be required to prepare a solo performance of their own choice up to a maximum of 2 mins. More details will be provided in the information sent out with your audition confirmation.
Please allow 1 hour for the Ensemble audition.
For Principal auditions, you will be given a time slot and will only be required for about 15 mins. But please be aware that we may run behind/ahead of schedule and times are just a guide.
Your Audition Fee ($10 per person) is a deposit. If we are unable to offer you a role, you will receive a refund of the fee. If you are offered a role in the cast, the fee will be credited to your Production Fee. There is no refund if you choose to withdraw from the auditions, and there is no refund if you are offered a role and turn it down.
If you are 16+ and interested in directing/music directing/choreographing then please indicate on your application for consideration. A small number of performers will be given the opportunity to direct/music direct/choreograph a section of the show. This will not only provide them with valuable experience but will also mean they will be considered for production crew roles in full musicals with us in the future.
