About
Wybie is the brainchild of Naarm/Melbourne based songwriter, guitarist and producer Kyle Muir. Wybie’s wonky indie-rock draws from music all over the globe and has been likened to artists ranging from Radiohead to Ali Farka Touré to Joni Mitchell.
After almost 2 years, Wybie returns for a solo performance to The Press to launch White Dog, the first single off the upcoming EP Ashbourne. White Dog serves as a dedication to Muir’s late grandfather as well as a reminder to reconnect with memory, family and country.
Joining Wybie is Mia Petra.
Mia Petra is a song maker and producer based in Muloobinba/Newcastle. Blending the lines between contemporary folk, electro/ambient, soul and jazz, Mia’s unwavering genre-fluidity conjures a playful space that is both nuanced and refreshingly supple.
