Clinical Psychology in the Context of Cancer: An Overview
About
Associate Professor Lesley Stafford is a clinical psychologist and academic psycho-oncologist. She consults in the Familial Cancer Centre at the Royal Melbourne Hospital and in private practice. She is an Associate Professor in the Department of Surgery at the University of Melbourne. Her research and clinical interests are broadly in women diagnosed with breast cancer and women considered at high risk of developing breast or gynaecological cancer.This presentation will provide an overview of the key stages of cancer care, from prevention through to end of life, and identify the main issues that are relevant to clinical psychologists working with this population.
