What could be more comforting on a cold winter day than curling up with a hot cuppa and a delicious slice of hearty, wholesome cake? Think creamy chestnuts, poached pears, pumpkin, spices and toasted hazelnuts! This class will cover them all! We will make a hearty pumpkin loaf with spices, a red wine-poached pear cake with toasted hazelnuts, and chestnut tartlets with creamed chestnuts, orange zest and quark (a German soft cheese, also used in baked cheese cake). They are all perfect winter comfort foods and taste so amazing!
Apart from being fun, the class is designed to provide you with the skills and confidence to replicate each recipe at home. The small class size (maximum of 6 participants) ensures plenty of opportunity for questions and one-on-one conversations to maximise your learning experience.
