This program is aimed for experienced medical and nursing staff caring for paediatric patients, who want to upskill in their management for severely unwell children. The focus of the program is to safely manage and stabilise children in their department until PIPER or further help arrives.

The program focuses on the following topics and skill stations.
Topics may include but subject to change:
- Recognition of serious illness
- Sepsis recognition and management
- Reducing adverse events during intubation
- Case discussion: Shock
- Skills station: Respiratory support
- Skills station: Preparation for intubation
- Simulation: Resuscitation
- Case discussion: Stabilisation and preparation for transport
Cost: Full day (light lunch included)

Medical - Fellows/Registrars/Trainees - $275
Medical - Consultants/GPs - $550

Refunds will be provided at the absolute discretion of RCH and must be submitted in writing. Requests for refunds should be emailed to nets.education@rch.org.au
