2025 South Australian Candidates Championship

The SA State Candidates is a 9 round Swiss that attracts many of SA's most aspiring players for 9 weeks of fantastic chess.It is FIDE and ACF rated. Players have the option to take two half-point byes in the first 8 rounds. The time limit is 90 minutes with a 30 sec increment from move 1.
International Players must have a FIDE ID from their home federation before the start of the tournament. International players who do not have a FIDE ID before the start will not be allowed to play.
The default time is 30 minutes after start of play.
Prizes are: 1st $50, 2nd $300 3rd: $200 and a Rating performance prize of $150 - the winner also qualifies for the 2026 State Championship
