Geoff Achison first arrived on the scene in Melbourne playing incendiary lead guitar with local blues legend ‘Dutch’ Tilders before striking out on his own with his all-star group ‘The Souldiggers’. He began writing original music for this act and also established himself as a formidable solo act on acoustic guitar. He departed for overseas in the late ‘90’s which resulted in over 20 years’ worth of international touring. In 2023 Geoff also joined 70’s hitmakers ‘Stars’ on lead guitar and contributed a tasty solo on their latest single ‘One More Try’. Now with The Algo-Rhythms, Geoff adds an exciting power trio to his repertoire of acts. An electric blues outfit which encapsulates the free-spirited music-making of the old juke joints, The Algo-Rhythms specialise in ‘reading the room’ to keep the audience on their feet with a mix of rocking blues, classic hits, and extended jams.
