We are delighted to announce that Cindy will be part of Arts Deloraine’s 2025 Artist Talk and we couldn’t be more excited to hear about her incredible journey as a textile artist.Cindy is an award-winning artist whose stunning textile work has been recognized both in Australia and internationally. Her pieces have been featured in magazines across Australia, New Zealand, and America, and they are held in private collections around the world. Deeply inspired by the natural world, particularly Tasmania’s rich flora and fauna, Cindy brings these elements to life through her intricate and expressive creations.
Using her sewing machine as a tool for free-motion stitching, she transforms silk and cotton into unique works of art. Many of her materials are hand-dyed using leaves and bark sourced from Tasmania’s native bushland, adding an organic depth to her pieces.
