Join us for our March Monthly Weaving Workshop with artist, weaver and jeweller, Tarsha Davis (Kuku Yalanji, Palawa). Tarsha will be sharing her own styles of weaving and bringing us together to mark International Women’s Day.On IWD we invite you to sit, yarn and weave together and acknowledge the creativity, strength and resilience of First Peoples women, matriarchs and mothers.
We will be using raffia in the IWD colours of green and purple - representing HOPE (green) and JUSTICE & DIGNITY (purple).
Tools and materials are supplied.
Feel free to bring your own materials if desired.
Beginners welcome
All genders welcome.
Light catering is also provided.
Session is free but bookings are essential.
