Can a human really think like an octopus? Is friendship between humans and wild creatures possible? What are the implications of human interference/non-interference in the natural world?In 2020 the documentary "My Octopus Teacher" by Pippa Ehrlich and Craig Foster took the world by the storm. It helped many people discover the hidden beauty of the aquatic environments.
This discussion group will make space to look at some of the ethical, social and psychological concerns arising from the documentary to helps us think through our responsibilities to and impact on the ocean and other non-human life forms.
The discussion will be moderated by the Host and everyone will have a chance to share their reflections in a welcoming, non-judgmental atmosphere.
There will be tea, snacks and some social time afterwards.
