Shrine Guided Tour
WHAT: Join an expert guide and explore the rich history of the Shrine of Remembrance, located in Kings Domain on St Kilda Road. While originally built as a war memorial to honour men and women of Victoria who served in WW1 it now serves as a memorial for all Australians who have served in any war and is one of the largest war memorials in Australia. In this 45 Minute tour you will learn about the Shrine's commemorative spaces, special exhibitions and the personal stories that make the Shrine a living monument. Walk from Flinders Street Station or catch a tram from Flinders Street, southbound trams (except # 1 tram) to stop 19 Meet at the Visitors Centre @ 9.55 a.m. for 10 a.m. start.
