Practical Contract Management

Practical Contract Management

hero

Reviewing and negotiating consultancy agreements can be a solitary exercise. This practical webinar gives you a chance to check your processes, sharpen your skills, and evaluate systems that can lighten the load.

Join the ACA and our presenter – Wendy Poulton, Principal of informed Lawyers (ACN 635 862 145) – as she investigates efficiencies in dealing with client-drafted contracts, from receipt to review, departures table to negotiation. Consider short-cuts for when you need to read and amend contracts under pressure, while honing your ability to spot clauses that can either tip the balance in liability litigation or provide better leverage in commercial disputes. Wendy will also identify common pain points as well as unusual dangers in drafting, and weigh up negotiation tactics that either help or hinder.

OUR SPEAKER

Wendy Poulton is the Principal of informed Lawyers Pty Ltd ACN (635 862 145), a law practice providing legal advice in its specialist area of consultancy agreements and a Knowledge Partner supporting the ACA. informed Lawyers offer a 10% discount off its standard pricing for ACA members. Wendy has been a risk manager working with architects since 2005, providing plain English advice on contracts, training architects in risk management, and creating guidance materials. Before that, she worked as a litigation solicitor at Hunt and Hunt, and as a judge’s associate. She completed a Masters in Construction Law in 2011 and has delivered guest lectures for the University of Melbourne, RMIT and QUT.
