Trees to Residents Program

About

In 2025 the Town is launching a new Trees to Residents Program, where residents can purchase tickets for trees (200mm pot size) at a subsidised rate of $5 per tree, for planting within their property.

A limit of 5 trees per property applies, subject to availability. Please seek agreement from the property owner before purchasing tickets.

The Trees to Residents Program aims to assist in increasing our tree canopy cover to 30% by 2040, contributing to urban cooling, biodiversity and other benefits.

Tickets go on sale from 9am Tuesday 29 April on Try Booking. If you are unable to book tickets online please contact us on 9377 8095 to discuss alternatives.

The tree collection will be held the same weekend as the Plants to Residents collection days (7 & 8 June), at the Town of Bassendean Depot, 69 Scaddan St, Bassendean, from 9am- 3pm on Saturday and 9am- 12 noon on Sunday. Excess / unclaimed trees will then be available for sale from 12 noon- 2pm (or until sold out).

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING BEFORE ORDERING YOUR TREES

This program is only open to residents of the Town of Bassendean or owners of residential properties within the Town of Bassendean.
There is a limit of 5 trees per residential address.
When collecting, bring your tickets, proof of residence and a box to take your plants in. Proof of residence includes drivers licence, rates or utility bill, or other addressed mail showing name and residental address. Refunds will not be made if you are not eligible for the program.
Plants not collected on the weekend of the 7th and 8th of June will be forfeited and refunds will not be made. If you can't attend send a friend or family member with your details (tickets and proof of address) to collect for you.
