Co-facilitated by Patrick Wain (KHG Therapeutic Horticulture Coordinator) and Richard Page (KHG Occupational Therapist), this is a 1-day introduction to Therapeutic Horticulture in a community organisation setting including key elements of practice that promote therapeutic benefits of gardening for participants. The day will feature key topics such as Therapeutic Horticulture, Kevin Heinze GROW’s model of therapeutic horticulture practice, an overview of different programs and structure, key outcomes for participants of all abilities plus a hands-on practice facilitating an accessible therapeutic horticulture activity.
This workshop is for anyone starting, developing or expanding on their skills and knowledge relating to Therapeutic Horticulture practice in the disability sector.
