Summer pruning season has started, and we know from experience that this is one of the most overwhelming topics for home fruit growers, even for experienced gardeners.
This in-person class will take you from nervous novice to confident pruner and give you a clear system for pruning your fruit trees.
The morning starts with a theory session. You'll learn the pruning principles and when to prune. We'll cover establishment pruning young trees, maintenance pruning, and how to renovate giant trees.
After morning tea (supplied by us), we'll head into the orchard for the practical session. Our team of experienced pruners will demonstrate, supervise, and answer your questions as you put your new skills into practise on our trees.
What to bring
* Secateurs (Please clean & sharpen beforehand if possible.)
* Appropriate outdoor shoes and clothing
* Pen & paper for notes

* Delicious morning tea
* Sharpening service
* Workshop notes supplied (via email after workshop)
