About
An unforgettable in conversation with Jane Caro and Lee Christine.
Join us for an unforgettable evening as feminist icon, social commentator and Walkley Award winning journalist Jane Caro sits down with celebrated local author Lee Christine to discuss her thrilling new novel Lyrebird.
Lyrebirds are brilliant mimics, capable of imitating anything they hear—including a woman’s screams for help. But when a young PhD student and a rookie detective try to prove that a bird may have overheard a murder, they face an uphill battle. With no body, no missing person, and only the eerie echoes of the bush, will they uncover the truth before it’s too late?
Set against landscapes familiar to Maitland residents, Lyrebird is a thought-provoking thriller that explores the unseen, the overheard, and the way nature bears witness.
