Grasslands Tour
About
Join us for a tour of the spectacular grasslands of the Euroa Arboretum, with Bronte Haines, Groundcover Restoration Co-ordinator. This one and a half hour tour will lead you through a brief history of temperate grasslands in south eastern Australia, and the processes we use to restore and rejuvenate precious native grasslands at the Arboretum.We will discuss the role of soil scalping and aeration, cool burning, warm and cool season grasses, and identify some key species we care for, many of which are rare and threatened. This tour will introduce the foundations required to begin the process of grassland restoration or meadow-style gardening for the patch you tend.
