This short course, over 2 consecutive days, is designed for beginners, providing students with a basic understanding of some of the skills required in gemmology for testing and identifying gemstones using gemmological instruments.Instruments include Loupe, Chelsea Filter, Dichroscope, Polariscope, Microscope, Ultra Violet Light, Refractometer, Spectroscope, Diamond Thermal Probe.
Participants can also also choose purchase an Introduction Kit. Included are the Gem Cleaning Cloth, Triplet 10x hand lens, lock-in Tweezers (medium point) and GAA Branded Tool Case.
It is also a great refresher course for others who have been in the industry for a long time looking to brush up their knowledge and skills.
