Claire Imler's 'Dance on Film' class helps dancers build the skills and confidence needed to perform in front of a moving camera. As the dance industry increasingly embraces film, Claire focuses on helping dancers feel comfortable on camera, embracing its vulnerability while staying connected to the movement. The class covers techniques like anticipating camera movements, engaging with the lens, and creating choreography that works seamlessly on screen.Claire grew up dancing competitively for 15 years at Mather Dance Company in California before studying filmmaking at Chapman University. She’s spent six years working in the film industry, combining her love of dance and film. Claire has worked with clients such as Derek Hough, Christina Perri, Blake McGrath, Dixie D’Amelio, Crocs, Bella Poarch, Discount Dance, and more.
Dancers will have access to all videos taken during class for their personal use.
