The GIAV Crop Tour is a cornerstone event for the grain industry in southeastern Australia, providing pre-harvest yield estimates and fostering valuable networking opportunities. Since its inception in 2016, the tour has been instrumental in offering insights into cereal crop conditions across the region.Tour Highlights:
Group-Based Crop Scouting: Participants will be divided into groups and assigned predetermined routes for crop scouting.
Networking Opportunities: The tour serves as an excellent introduction for new staff, offering insights into crop conditions and a chance to build industry connections.
Post-Tour Meeting: The tour concludes with a post-tour meeting in Bendigo on Thursday, October 16.
Participant Recommendations:
Participants are advised to bring gumboots, wet weather gear, and a change of clothes to ensure comfort and preparedness during the tour.
