Different Courts under the same roof - Hobart Magistrates CourtAs part of Law Week 2025, the Magistrates Court of Tasmania is inviting participants to attend their local court to gain an understanding of the varied areas that a Magistrate may deal with on a weekly basis.
For this Hobart event, two Hobart based Magistrates will take you through an overview of the set up and the movement in the various courts. Starting in a busy Court 2 intake court with pleas, bail applications and much more, moving to the therapeutic approach in Court 4 for Court Mandated Drug Diversion, and, finally, Youth Justice in Court 9.
Numbers are limited. Approx 1 hour duration.
This event is free of charge but bookings are essential. Please note that photo ID must be presented on arrival. The Magistrates Court reserves the right to refuse entry to any person.
