Disney’s Newsies is a high-energy musical inspired by the real-life Newsboys Strike of 1899 in New York City. The story follows Jack Kelly, a charismatic newsboy who dreams of a better life away from the streets. When newspaper giant Joseph Pulitzer raises distribution prices at the newsboys’ expense, Jack rallies the other "newsies" to strike for fair treatment. With catchy songs like "Seize the Day", "King of New York", and "Santa Fe", the musical celebrates youth empowerment, standing up for what's right, and the power of unity.
