Safe Sawing in the Boo Chainsaw Courses

The Community Foundation was generously funded to run this training by the State of Victoria through Emergency Recovery Victoria’s Community-led Recovery Support grant program and the Commonwealth Government under the Commonwealth-State Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA), in response to the Victorian Flood and Storm event of 9-10 June 2021 which impacted communities in South Gippsland.
Times: Arrive 7.45am for 8am start, finish 4pm
Location: To be advised, in Mirboo North
Bring:
- Lunch and drink bottle
- Steel capped boots
- Chainsaw (optional - will be checked by PASS to determine suitability at start of course)
The following will be provided by PASS:
- Safety gear
- Chainsaw (or you can bring your own)
- Experienced trainer
- Relevant learning materials
Training will begin with theory session at a location in Mirboo North, with the practical session at a location close the township. Full details will be provided to participants prior to the event.
