Listening Room #6: New York Minimalism & the Avant Garde
Deep listening sessions, hosted by DJ Weary, presenting pristine original vinyl recordings in hi-fidelity sound. A night of celebration and reverence of celestial sounds.
For this session we will be exploring the impact of New York City on the development of 20th century minimalism and avant garde music.
Featuring music by Meredith Monk, Steve Reich, Philip Glass, Laurie Anderson, Moondog, and more.
As always, pristine vinyl recordings and short spoken introductions in an intimate setting.
The session will open with a special live piano performance by Georgina Lewis playing the John Cage piece ‘In a Landscape’.

Online sales close at 7:30pm on the day of the concert. Tickets can be purchased at the door, dependent on availability. Tempo Rubato is a cashless venue.
