Healing with Animals - a five-day retreat
Sunday 26th to Friday 31st October 2025

A Retreat of Deep Connection with Horses, Animals & the More-Than-Human World
Join us for a transformative retreat where the wisdom of horses, the language of animals, and the natural world’s deep intelligence come together to guide you toward greater understanding and connection. This unique residential retreat offers a rare opportunity to explore the spaces where inner awareness and wild intelligence meet.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
Equine Facilitated Learning: Learn how to overcome the most common relationship barriers through embodied healing practices supported by a herd of horses, enabling you to experience a deeper, more loving relationship with yourself and all animals. Extend your connection to your higher self and fully develop your empathic abilities.
Interspecies Communication: Learn to communicate telepathically with the horses, wild animals, and the land around you. Experience the profound ways animals, trees, and plants speak to those who listen. Develop your capacity to quieten the mind and body through spending time quietly in nature. Increase your sensitivity through guided activities designed to expand your senses.
Nature Connection: Listen to the spirit of the land itself. Nestled in the forested hills of Gleniffer's Promised Land, this retreat offers time for meditation, mindful movement, sit spots, nature walks, and reflective moments around the fire under a starry sky.
This retreat will expand your awareness and deepen your bond with the living world.

MEET YOUR GUIDES:
Jacqueline Buckingham is an animal communicator, trainer and mentor, and has been communicating with animals and plants since she was three years old. She studied with a variety of indigenous elders whose teachings deepened her connection with and understanding of the natural world. In 2012 she met and was mentored by animal communicator Anna Breytenbach and they began working together in 2013. Jacqueline leads trainings in Australia, the UK and online. She is also a reiki master teacher, an Esalen massage therapist and a transpersonal counsellor. Jacqueline is passionate about reconnecting people to their love for animals and the whole the natural world.
Ben Skerrett started his journey as a horse behaviour specialist, educator and clinician. Exploring a passion for personal development led Ben to the knowledge that working with horses was more about developing self-awareness and less about training them. As a result Ben started to use horses to facilitate healing and transformatin in people. He became a qualified Eponaquest Equine Facilitated Learning (EFL) instructor, and a riding-focussed instructor (RFI). He also has a diploma in counselling.
