Arts Rutherglen is proud to host its ninth Rutherglen Tastes of Art Prize and would like to extend an invitation to young artists to submit your works of art for exhibition and sales. If you are an artist between the age of 12 to 18 years please sumbit your works here.

Entries

We invite you to enter here for the 2026 Exhibition by clicking on the REGISTER NOW button at the top of this page.

Entry is $5 per artwork with a maximum of 2 entries per artist.Sales commission does not apply to Youth Award entries.

There will be 4 prizes of $250 each.

You may enter any of the following mediums:

Painting
Mixed Media
Work on Paper
Photography
3D Artworks

Artwork Size

Your artwork size must not exceed 1.2 square metres. For eg. 1 x 1.2 metres. The total should be no more than 1.2 square metres including your frame.

Please remember to include a hanging wire on the back of your frame. The wire and D-ring should be approximately 1/3 the way down from top of frame.

Opening Hours

The exhibition will be open for viewing and sales on Saturday 7th March until Sunday 15th March 2026 between the hours of 10am and 4pm.

Gala Opening Cocktail Party

Friday 6th March 2026, commencing at 6.30pm.

Artists will receive a complimentary entry ticket and a soft drink to enjoy during the exhibition opening. Prize winners will be announced on the night after which sales will commence.

To receive your complimentary ticket please visit trybooking.com/DCBBO. You should have received a code via email to waive the $20 fee. Family and friends are welcome and must purchase a ticket as numbers are limited.

Important Dates to Remember

Sunday 8 February 2026 – Entries close.
Tuesday 3 March 2026 – Deliver Artwork to Rutherglen Memorial Hall between 10am and 5.30pm.
Friday 6 March 2026 at 6.30pm – Gala Opening Cocktail Party. Free entry to participating artists, otherwise $20 per adult and $10 per student.
Sunday 15 March 2026 – Collect artwork between 3.00pm & 5.30pm (unless notified that all artwork has been sold) or other arrangements have been made. Collection no earlier than 3pm please.
