Ida Pelliccioli - From South to Vienna

A journey from Spanish keyboard music to the Viennese Classic Style through the work of a forgotten composer – Manuel Blasco de Nebra
The often overlooked music of Spanish composer Manuel Blasco de Nebra is the inspiration behind this program, which also includes works of Domenico Scarlatti, W. A. Mozart and Franz Schubert. Heir to Scarlatti in many respects, Blasco de Nebra was moreover a composer well aware of what was happening elsewhere in Europe in the 1770s. His expressive world is far more searching than Scarlatti, a quality that at times reminds us of the music of Mozart and Haydn and pre announces Schubert and even Chopin.
Ida Pelliccioli was born in Bergamo, Italy. Having received artistic guidance from Norma Fisher and Jorge Luis Prats, she now teaches at the Paris Conservatoire and enjoys a diverse performance career.
TICKETS $27 | $25
Online sales close 7:30pm on the day of the concert. Door tickets available if not sold out. Tempo Rubato is a cashless venue.
