About
In roaring 1920s Chicago, fame is fleeting—but murder can make you a star. When vaudeville performer Velma Kelly lands in jail for double homicide, she’s the media’s darling—until Roxie Hart, a chorus girl with ambition and a body count of her own, steals the spotlight. With the help of smooth-talking lawyer Billy Flynn and a sensationalist press hungry for scandal, Roxie turns her crime into front-page news. Inside Cook County Jail, headlines shift, alliances form, and the courtroom becomes a stage. As jazz and justice collide, Velma and Roxie learn that in a world driven by spectacle, it’s not about truth—it’s about razzle dazzle and the price of fame, a ruthless media spotlight and the showbiz of crime.
