Serenity in the Stadium is a community wellbeing initiative by Read the Play and Active Geelong, held at GMHBA Stadium on Sunday 19 October 2025. The event is designed to promote the positive impact of physical activity on mental health by engaging participants in a large-scale, guided yoga and mindfulness session in a familiar and inspiring sporting environment.
The concept was born from a desire to bring people together around a simple but powerful message: movement matters for mental wellbeing. Yoga was chosen as the perfect activity, blending physical exercise with mindfulness, and appealing to a broad cross-section of the community regardless of fitness level or age.
