DESCRIPTION: Get ready to dive into the darkly satirical world of high school politics, power, and rebellion. Set in 1989, the show follows ingenious outsider Veronica Sawyer as she navigates the ruthless social ranks of Westerberg High. When she crosses paths with the infamous Heathers, the school’s most feared clique - chaos, revenge, and a whole lot of drama unfold.

Adapted by the original authors, it is tailored for teenage performers and audiences. At its core, the musical addresses teenage challenges, through the perspective of teenagers. 'Heathers - Teen Edition' delves into topics such as bullying, assault, body-shaming, homophobia, suicide and self-harm. Set in the 1980's, it portrays a world where education on these issues is not as advanced as it is today. This production has been undertaken in conjunction with the Mentone Grammar Wellbeing team, creating forums for discussion and understanding. It is recommended for audiences 13+.
