Join one of Australia’s leading abstract artists, Jon Cattapan, for a transformative 5-day art workshop, “People in the Landscape”, set on a stunning regenerative farm in Western Victoria at Chatsworth House.
This immersive experience is designed for practicing artists and enthusiastic creatives alike, offering 6 nights of painting, learning, and inspiration surrounded by breathtaking natural beauty.
Participants will engage in a daily rhythm of art history, contextual discussion, and hands-on artmaking, including one-on-one mentoring and group tutorials. The workshop focuses on developing figurative techniques that place the human form in environmental settings, using the landscape as both muse and material.
Accommodation and meals are included, with options available for partners wishing to join the experience.
About Jon Cattapan:
Based in Melbourne, Jon is a renowned and widely exhibited visual artist with over 60 solo exhibitions since his debut in 1979. His work explores urban narratives and the human presence within place. He has a long-standing connection with the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA) and is a dedicated mentor to emerging artists.
