"Available" date on calendar = start of next 4-day course.Provides understanding to test and calculate airtightness of single dwellings or small buildings with a blower door. First 3 days include presentations and exercises; 4th day for examinations.
Key topics:
• Understanding air leakage
• Preparing a building
• Setting up equipment and conducting test
• Basic geometry to calculate building leakage results
Recommended course preparation:
• Be familiar with basic geometry including Pythagorean theorem
• Be able read architectural plan, section and elevation drawings
• Read ATTMA Technical Standard TSL1 online
• SketchUp experience helpful
To attain ATTMA accreditation
• Pass examinations
• Own or have regular access to calibrated air tightness testing equipment
• Submit tests for review for technical consistency
