July School Holidays 2025 - Our Amazing Universe

Visit the Ballarat Observatory this winter holidays to learn about what’s out there in our Amazing Universe. Each standalone session is beginner friendly - no prior knowledge required.
AstroKids Sessions are aimed at families with children aged 5-10. With hands on experiences and a talk, you and the kids will learn about many of the objects that make up the universe and have a blast!
Evening Sessions are aimed at all ages and are jampacked: History Tour, Presentation, Stargazing, Telescope Viewing*, and Q&A with an astronomer all within 2 hours.
*In case of cloudy weather stargazing and telescope viewing will be replaced by a virtual sky tour. Alternatively, a raincheck can be arranged.
Each Session is run by astronomers from the Ballaarat Astronomical Society who love to talk all things astronomy related.
