Through their Eyes. Jewish Women reflect on a Changed World

About
Join us for a compelling evening of conversation and reflection as we present Ruptured, a powerful anthology co-authored and co-edited by Lee Kofman and Tamar Paluch. This timely collection of personal essays captures how irrevocably the world has changed for Australian Jews—particularly women—since the events of October 7.In this thought-provoking discussion, Lee Kofman will be joined by contributors to the book Deborah Conway, Simonne Whine and Lana Schwarcz who share how their lives, identities and sense of safety and belonging have been reshaped by unfolding global events.
The panel will explore themes of rupture and resilience, grief and connection, and what it means to be a Jewish woman in Australia in a changed and changing world. Together, they bring a range of powerful and distinct perspectives—as a renowned musician, a grassroots activist, and a puppeteer and theatremaker—to a rich and layered conversation about what it means to be a Jewish woman in Australia today.
