Clinical Conversations: Onboarding families effectively

About
Event Name:
Clinical Conversations β Onboarding families effectively
Event Description:
Join Claire from NeuroInclusion and Alyce from The OT Coach for our next session in the Clinical Conversations Series - a space for paediatric occupational therapists to connect, reflect, and grow through real-world clinical mentoring.
This session:
Onboarding families effectively
In this session, Claire and Alyce will reflect on how their approaches to onboarding have shifted over the years from lengthy assessments to more purposeful, family-centred beginnings. We'll explore why clarity is kindness, what it looks like to set clear expectations early, and how to build connection while still holding structure.
Weβll also share practical intake and onboarding strategies that support families to feel informed, welcomed, and ready to engage.
Expect honest discussion, clinical reflection, and helpful prompts to improve the way you bring families into your service.
