HEN @ RMIT - STEM Day & Campus Tour (12+) (SOLD OUT)
About
Students will participate in the activities below followed by lunch, a campus tour and Q&A with an RMIT student ambassador. RMIT will also provide morning tea!
Total station: Students use a total station (tool used in Surveying) to measure heights and distances around the room.
Ozobots: Students will use colours to code these line-following robots, allowing them to follow a path and complete manoeuvres.
Vitamin C: This titration based activity uses iodine to determine vitamin c concentrations in different juices.
Rockets: Students will use the engineering design process to design, build and launch a paper rocket.
10am - Welcome and Introductions
10:10am - Workshop rotation 1
11:10am - Break for morning tea (RMIT to provide)
11:20am - Workshop rotation 2
12:20pm - Lunch (BYO/Explore the city!)
1:20pm - Campus Tour
2:00pm - Q&A with Women in STEM ambassadors
2:30pm - Finish
