Opening with the world premiere of Tasmanian based composer, Frances Cameron’s new work ‘Solitude’, this program continues with Schubert’s lyrical and intimate set of ‘Four Impromptus’ Op. 90. The second half of the recital consists of Brahms’ monumental Piano Sonata No. 3, considered a masterpiece of Romantic repertoire for its symphonic scope, expressive depth, and huge pianistic demands.
