Hosted by SCBWI Tasmania, you’ll have a chance to visit Nan Chauncy’s home 'Day Dawn' and explore the beautiful surrounds to find a cave, or find if the caves and beautiful surrounds inspire your writing and art.The day includes morning tea and lunch, quiet creative sessions with prompts, and a walk through the old house that has sparked generations of imagination. Whether you’re polishing a picture book draft, exploring a middle-grade idea, or sketching characters in your notebook, you’ll find space, inspiration, and community. Share your work in an optional afternoon reading, and leave with fresh ideas and a renewed creative spark. Perfect for writers and illustrators who are passionate about creating for children – and for anyone who loves children’s literature.
