Hall Heritage Walk [Repeat]

About
Repeat of the Heritage Walk in February.Come and join volunteers from the Hall Heritage Centre for a walk around our village, located at the edge of the national capital.
The village is surrounded by an endangered Yellow Box/Red Gum grassy woodland ecological community, which also supports vulnerable plant and animal species.
Archaeological sites within the woodland and along Halls Creek remind us of generations of Aboriginal people who have lived here in Ngunnawal Country for more than 25,000 years.
There is also much more recent history, with European settlement in the area dating from 1826.
Walkers will be introduced to many of the heritage sites listed in the new National Trust ACT Heritage Tours booklet. At the end of the walk, participants are welcome to visit the Centre to investigate our exhibitions and reminisce in our 1911 bush school. A free morning tea will be available at the Centre at the end of the walk.
