Country Immersion Workshop with Kerri Clarke (Mob Only)
About
Join us for a powerful and immersive cultural experience led by Kerri Clarke, a proud Boon Wurrung, Wemba Wemba artist from south-eastern Australia. As part of this year’s Senior Festival, this Country Immersion Workshop invites Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders to come together in a safe, and creative space to explore deep connections to Country, culture, and each other.Kerri Clarke is a multidisciplinary artist and cultural practitioner, known for her work with traditional materials and storytelling. Her practice is grounded in cultural knowledge and community connection, and she brings a wealth of experience in working with textiles, sewing, and animal skins—particularly in the creation and teaching of Possum Skin Cloak traditions.
This workshop is a guided journey of cultural reflection and reconnection. Through storytelling, sensory engagement, and hands-on making, participants will be invited to reflect on their own relationship with Country, identity and community.
