Materials Australia VIC & TAS Branch presents the
2025 Borland Forum
to be held at
Monash University, Clayton Campus
Tuesday 28th October 2025
The Borland Forum honours the memory of Dr Doug Borland who made a significant contribution to the study and teaching of metallurgy and materials engineering during his long and distinguished career.
The Borland Forum showcases high calibre postgraduate students nominated by their tertiary institution. The students each make a short presentation on their materials-related research project, and the top presenter will receive the Borland Forum Award and a cash prize.
One postgraduate is selected from each of our five premier institutions and talks are 10 minutes in duration allowing a further 5 minutes for questions.
All are welcome and refreshments will be provided prior to the presentations.

Swinburne University of Technology – Vimukthi Dananjaya Seekku Arachchige “Materials Against Lunar Dust: Graphene-Structured Polymer Films for Passive Lunar Dust Mitigation”
