The Mosman Art Prize is Australia's longest-running municipal art award of $70,000 and is widely regarded as the most prestigious open painting prize in the country. Annually, the winning painting becomes part of the Mosman Art Collection and sits alongside various highly regarded artists. The Mosman Art Collection is a valuable and historic collection that surveys Australian painting since 1947.
