
Riches & Wood: Violin & guitar in historic St Mark's Church
Tasmanian chamber music duo Josie Riches (violin) and David Wood (guitar) present a program ranging from the 1800s to the 21st century that features music from Vienna to Buenos Aires, from composers including Diabelli, Piazzolla and Ourkouzounov.
Collaborating for more than a decade, Josie and David continue their tour of unique and historic churches and halls in Tasmania - the acoustics and aesthetics of these settings adding another dimension to beautiful and exciting music for violin and classical guitar.

Location
This concert is at St Mark's Church at Lake River, near Cressy. A gorgeous white weatherboard, red-roofed church, built on a little knoll, St Mark's was consecrated by the Church of England in 1865 and served the districts of Macquarie and Lake River. This historic church set amid the farmland of the Northern Midlands and against the rugged backdrop of the Great Western Tiers, provides the perfect location for an afternoon of intimate violin and guitar music.
