Introduction to Natural Building Using Recycled Materials (CANCELLED)

This two-part introduction to natural building (held on two Saturdays) will expose you to all the basic types of methods and techniques that might be suitable for your needs. Both days will be held in Peel at John's place which he built from a collection of recycled materials using good passive solar design. Part of the process will be the design of a simple structure to be built in Blayney at a later workshop. BYO Lunch and snacks.Topics we will cover:
- Sustainable communities. Wiradjuri Indigenous communities as land and society managers in the Winburndale / Macquarie catchment. Food, housing, water
Sustainability in Bathurst / Peel region European communities since 1815.
- A sustainable property plan. Goals, vision, energy, climate, water, biodiversity, food, housing, transport, feral species.
