Central West Comedy ORANGE - Ray O'Leary & Anisa Nandaula

YOU WOULD NORMALLY NEED TO TRAVEL TO A CAPITAL CITY TO SEE THESE FESTIVAL AWARD WINNING SHOWS, BUT WE ARE BRINGING THEM TO YOUR DOOR
Incredibly funny for someone who looks like an accountant who has accidentally wandered on stage, Ray O’Leary is a two-time nominee for NZ’s prestigious comedy award, the Billy T Award, and regularly sells out his New Zealand International Comedy Festival shows.
Ray has become a regular and hilarious face on Network Ten’s Have You Been Paying Attention?, as well as its stable mate, The Cheap Seats. His deadpan delivery is a staple in the New Zealand comedy scene, as are his appearances as a performer and writer on several New Zealand's TV shows including the NZ version of Have You Been Paying Attention?, 7 Days and Jono and Ben. Ray can also be heard on hit Dungeons and Dragons podcast, Waterdeep Mountain High.
Ugandan Australian comic and poet Anisa Nandaula’s unique point of view and experiences fuel the fresh new perspective she’s bringing to the local comedy scene and beyond.
Born in Uganda in 2001, Anisa moved to Australia when she was eight and grew up in Rockhampton.
She has performed on Channel Ten, SBS, ABC and at the iconic Sydney Opera House. Anisa also supported Chelsea Handler during her Australian tour, further solidifying her presence in the comedy scene. Most recently, she appeared on Thank God You’re Here.
In 2025, Anisa toured her debut stand-up hour throughout Australia & New Zealand and has been announced as the Gen Z team captain on the rebooted series Talkin’ ‘Bout Your Gen, hosted by Anne Edmonds and the upcoming season of Taskmaster Australia. The shows are set to air on Network 10 later this year.
Anisa is a must-see!
- Chelsea Handler
Put her in front of any crowd and she’d be at home…She’s one to watch, for sure.
- Chortle
She’s unstoppable, playing out scenarios with a bombastic side-eye and confident strut. If you’re seeking a comedic act that will keep you at ease, Nandaula should be your pick.
