Come and celebrate with hosts Young Dawkins and festival patron Cameron Hindrum as we kick off the 2025 Tasmanian Poetry Festival.
🕕 From 6:00pm – Enjoy nibbles and mingle with our guest poets in a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere.
🕖 At 7:00pm – Our Friday Night Feature begins!
✨ Young Dawkins will introduce the Tim Thorne Poetry Prize, followed by readings from:
Pam Schindler (2025 Winner)
Kim Nielsen-Creeley (Highly Commended)
✨ Cameron Hindrum reflects on poetry festivals past and introduces this year’s featured poets, who will offer a sneak peek of what's to come with a few short readings.
🎤 Q&A Session – Get to know the 2025 poets! Prepare your stickiest questions and dive into the minds behind the verse.
Expect an evening of (civilised) ferocity, fun with words, and poetic inspiration.
