Effective First Nations Consultation

Effective First Nations Consultation

hero

Join the ACA online on Thursday, 16 October to learn how to conduct respectful consultations with First Nations people and organisations. Troy Casey from Aboriginal-owned design consultancy Blaklash will share practical knowledge and culturally responsive approaches for effective consultation practice.

You will learn how to:

  • Identify the right people and organisations to engage with for your consultation needs.
  • Create respectful meeting environments where First Nations advisers and community members feel comfortable and valued.
  • Utilise effective consultation tools that meaningfully engage with Traditional Owners.
  • Understand the importance of agency in the consultation process and how to ensure it guides your approach.

OUR SPEAKER
