Visible mending is a form of textile repair where the mending technique itself becomes an artistic and intentional design element, rather than being hidden. In this workshop, you will be introduced to ‘Sashiko’ a Japanese visible mending technique which uses repetitive running stitches to create decorative patterns to repair and reinforce clothing.
Basic hand sewing skills required. BYO clothing item in need of repair (sturdy, non-stretch - denim or linen is ideal) or choose from our supplies.
